Allan

Hi

I have a mail merge doc that pulls in its data from
a .csv file, this work ok with word 2000

But now i am using word 03 and everytime i open the
document it pormpts me to find data source.

I have read all help docs and they point to removing the
header info and reattaching data source but this does not
work!!

Neither does copying data locally.

Any help gratefully recieved.

Have you been using the Recipients dialog box to make
selections?

If you set up a new document to merge with this file, do
you see the same thing? (Test with using Recipients, and
then with not using the dialog box)

In this case, it might help you to use a different
connection method, such as Word's internal text converter
(which is probably what you were using with 2000). Activate
"Confirm conversions on open" in Tools/Options/General,
then link to the data source file again.
