Data verification and notification

I have three columns of data in which column 2&3 determine what is in column
1 which comes from a data table. What I need is how can I have it double
check the amount in column 1 is right according to what is in 2 and 3 from
the data table and then let me know which data changed by changing color or
something. Example: column 1: 17.31 column 2: 001 column 3: 5. The table
goes to 005, for each number in column 3 with different numbers in one for
each. I can use a vlookup but it will not tell me which one it changed. Any
ideas
