database not defined

I've moved the database and the website to a new server but now the database created with fp2002 doesn't work even though I've gone in and redefined the connection. The connection works but the editors and the results pages come back with an error msg that says "database not defined". Anyone got any ideas about what to look for? This site has over 1000 ASP pages and it's driving me over the edge.

I published it with frontpage and then went to tools, web settings, dbase and connected it to the new server
