Database-SQL-Access-IIS

J

Jim Warren

I am running IIS locally on a machine, I have tried creating a results page
and have a asp page created. for some reason I am getting the error(see
below). I have created my Internal website and it is working just fine, I
need to add some web pages that will touch and SQL Server or access database
so users can access the up to date information. I have checked IIS.. I
belive that asp is running... i presume its running.....Since My local
Intranet is running just fine.. So is this a Frontpage Issue? or IIS Issue
Thanks

The Database Results component on this page is unable to display database
content. The page must have a filename ending in '.asp', and the web must be
hosted on a server that supports Active Server Pages.

Does your page have a .asp extension?

I belive that asp is running... i presume its running.....Since My
local
ASP is an ISAPI (Internet Server Application Programming Interface). It must
be installed, and running on your web server. In IIS Admin, right-click your
web site, go to the Home Directory tab, and click the Configuration button.
Under the Mappings tab, look for ASP. Is it running on your web server?
