date issues

How do I change default (American) date settings in FrontPage. I have
correct language and time zone settings in XP. Word etc is fine. Default
language in FrontPage is English (American). I need to change that for every
new webpage started. I can't find date setting so date last updated is not
showing Australian convention for date display.

Thanks

You don't say what version of Front Page you are using
but for my Front Page 2002 version I can do this by right
clicking and access the date properties dialog. From
there you can change the date and/or time format for a
specific date or time.

Hi:

Not an expert, but I found during my research for insert date to database,
that you can change date format with:

<%session.lcid=2057%>

In this case, 2057 is UK format. And there are two articles may help you:

(1) http://www.codetoad.com/asp/format_date_time.asp : This one gives above
example, and codes for other countries.

(2) http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/041001-1.shtml: This one talks
more in-depth about dealing with international date.

I have learned that the page (or codes in the page to insert date into
database) will display "server system time" not the client time. But again,
I am not familiar with those complicated issue yet as I am trying to solve
the simple one first.

Hope this helps.

Thank for your replies. I found out that I needed to change the Microsoft XP
language settings in Microsoft Office XP Tools from start menu. That fixed
it. Again many thanks.
