days rather than hours

Jan de Wit

Project 2003 counts with 8/h per day.
However, I am not interestd in calculating in hours, I want to set up a
project in days. How to go about?

Hi,

Project doesn't count in hours, it always, inevitably counts in minutes,
sorry :-(
But you can enter durations in days (that is even the default) and if you
want to show Work in days, Tools, Options, Schedule, has an option for that.
Hope this helps,

Thanks Jan,

No, that doesn't help much I am afraid.
I want to enter the workload in hours, not only show it in the summary.

Any other ideas?

Cheers, Jan

Hi Jan,

Well you can... first you say I wa,nt to do everythinhg in days, then in
hours ...
Entering workload in hours is default so waht's the problkem?

Workload and duration are two different things entirely. Workload is effort
(work) and is entered in man-hours. Duration is work-hour calendar time
between start and finish.

Sorry, I meant to write DAYS in stead of hours.
So expressing more specifically, thanks Steve, is there a way of expressing
the workload in DAYS rather than hours.

Duration is not my first concern.

Hello Jan,

As Jan directed: Tools > Options, Schedule tab. Select the measurement
you wish to use in the drop-down next to "Work is entered in:"

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
