Default color of text in tables

I have a problem with the default color of text in tables. When I go to
insert a new table the default color is wrong. i select the table, then click
on font, then choose the color i want, then i select the 'default for new
objects' button. when i insert a new table the text is not the text i chose
and has returned to the previous default color. When i investigate this in
the font menu the 'default for new objects' button has de-selected itself.
Please Help!!

Unfortunately, tables in PPT don't react to the "default for new objects"
setting. Rather, the font color in a table is based on the color specified
on the bulleted text placeholder on the slide master.

You might create a new master that uses the appropriate color on the
bulleted text placeholder for your table slides.
