Default Contact on Journal

Glenn

Hi,

I have two sets of folders (Personal Folder-default and Exchange folders)
in my Outlook 2002.
When I try to set the Journal options, it shows the contacts in my Personal
Folder.
How do I change it to show the contacts in my Exchange Folders?

Thanks,

Glenn

Make sure that the Exchange Contacts folder is also listed in your Address
Book. Rightclick the Contacs folder-> Properties-> tab Outlook Address Book.
Make sure the option to display it is selected.

Hi, thanks for the response.
Already did this. Aside from not showing up in the journal options (which
I suspect is a design issue)
when sending emails, the Exchange contacts also do not show up even when
the Exchange
contact name is selectable from the list.

Hi Glenn,

Does the Exchange mailbox hold your Outlook Today folder as well? If not
you'll need to change your default delivery location in the E-mail Accounts
properties dialog box. The Journal only applies to the Contacts list in the
Outlook Today folder.

Thanks Roady. Is that also why all the journal items I created for the
Exchange contacts and Exchange Public Folder
contacts went into the Outlook Today Journal folders? I was expecting
them to be stored in the Exchange journal and
Exhange Public journal.

That is correct. Practically all options in Outlook apply to the Outlook
Today folders (with setting Wizard Rules on a different mailbox being the
most confusing for my users)
