Default e-mail problems

I have Outlook selected as my default e-mail program in
Explorer's Internet Options. However, anytime I click on
a link to send someone an email, Outlook Express pops up
as the the e-mail client. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in Advance

Check the registry key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command

Mine has a data value of:

"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~4\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"

which is for Office XP hence the "Office10" in the path. For Outlook
2000, I believe it has "Office9". You didn't mention your version of
Outlook. Just be sure to specify the path to your OUTLOOK.EXE file, and
be sure you put the double quotes in the right places.
