Default file loading into "Print Publication"

Just installed ms Publisher2003. When I load pub 2000 documents to edit, the document always comes up in the "Web Publication" view. Is there any way to change the default so it loads as "Print Publication" for editing as a file to be printed (eliminating a few extra steps before allowing me to work on the file)?

How are you loading the Publisher 2000 files or should I say opening them?

What is the file extension you are loading?

Certainly interesting. I cannot see how this would happen.
