Default "New" Document

Hello - -

Somehow my nephew changed something on my WORD
application that brings up an old document every time I
press the "New" document icon on the toolbar or when I
choose "new" from the FILE menus. How do I change this
so that when I want a new document I get an empty
document ?

There are no global templates listed on the global
templates box.
