Default print paper size

I've asked this question before, without any satisfactory
solution.

I'm the UK and use A4 as the default document size. This
is no problem when creating or saving Word files.

However, when I print, Word always defaults to Letter,
and I have to change this every time by going to Print:
Properties: Advanced: Paper/Output: Paper Size [menu].

There seems nowhere to set A4 as the default print paper
size - unless I've missed it and the online help doesn't.

Please can you help!

Thanks

Check the regional settings in Windows are set to UK English and the printer
properties are set to A4 as page size.

The printer driver usually overrides Word - have you set
A4 as the default paper size in you printers properties /
preferences? If not Word will change the page layout to
suit - after all, would'nt be too clever printing A4 if
your printer is telling the OS that it has US legal
loaded!
