default settings of "Models"

Hello


I would like to have my folder Models open as "list" and not as little
icons, without having to click on the icons in the panel. It looks
like there must be a default setting somewhere since it
always reverse to small icons as soon as I close the programm (Word
mainly)
Could anybody explain me how to change thie behaviour (registry Key
????)
