Default Tab Stop Resetting in Publisher 2002

I am having a problem opening a customers document which was saved in
Publisher 2002 (the same version I have). The default tab stop was set
to a smaller size in her document, but when I open it on my computer,
the default tab stop resets itself to .5 everywhere in the document.
When I manually change it back to the size she set, the document looks
fine.

What is the problem?

I saw another post that suggested turning off the autosave feature, but
that did not help.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Yes, that is the article I was referring to. It did not solve my
problem. Copying and Pasting to a new document works, but I still have
to change the tab setting back. When I save the new document, and
re-open, the tab setting is correct. Do you have any more informaton on
why this is happening? I would prefer to simply open the document and
print, because I don't always know what the customer had set the
default tab stop position to.

Is there any other workaround you know about? Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks again,

Kevin

This only happens when a file is "saved as." It is a bug... I know of no workaround.
Hopefully it will be fixed in the next version. No consolation I know.
