default text in text boxes

Is it possible to create text boxes on a slide master that contain boilerplate text that can be replaced when the person Clicks and types on a slide using the Slide Master in question?
Basically, I want to put my own message other than click and type title, etc.
Thanks,

Is it possilbe to change a slide master to have more text boxes available. I need a small one centered at the top, then one nearly the width of the whole slide, and a third one about the size of the default text area on a title and text slide. I can't seem to create a text box that will stay on the master and allow me to edit it for the thin one in the middle.
Thanks for the answer.

I decided to record a very simple macro that will just insert the text box when I need it, but if anyone has a non-vba way to get more text areas on a slide master for 2003, I'd love to hear about them. I'm hoping that I'm missing the obvious.

You're not missing the obvious; it's not possible to add placeholders to the masters in PPT.

We're all hoping it will happen in the next version, as this is probably the most frequently requested feature.
