Default view for linked objects

How can set-up a default view for all objects that I drag and drop in a
PowerPoint presentation ?
For the moment, any office file (Word, Excel, ...) display his content and
I've to go to [Edit] - [Object] - [Convert] to display it as an icon.

Is there a way to set-up it as default ?
