Default views

My company uses Word 2002.

Is there any way to set your default view when you open up
Word? Some people might want to start out with Normal
View, some with Page Layout, etc. Also some may want to
get rid of the New Document window.

Also, when we insert a picture from file, the default
browser view is set to thumbnails. Any way to set the
default to something else, e.g. "Details" view?

possible to change the default view of the Insert Picture Explorer window,
but YMMV.
