Delay in seeing appointment

Outlook 2000

I use vba in Acess to write appointments from a starting date to a finish
date.

When I switch to Outlook to see them they don't appear right away. They
show up "after awhile."

Anything I can do to make them appear sooner?

Why do they delay?
