Delete Archive files

How does one delete Archive files from Outlook? I had
three archive folders by accident. Moved all the
information to one Archive folder but now outlook won't
let be delete the empty archive folders. I have even
deleted the archive.pst folders that I don't want.
Please advise how I fix this. Thanks.
