Delete IMAP messages

If I delete a message in an IMAP account- the message
gets a red line only. I know I can have them delete when
I leave teh folder... but I would like to know how to
have it deleted immediately, just like from a regular
pop3 account.

That's just the way IMAP works. You can't change it.
