Delete trial version before installing full product?

HD

I have a 60-day trial of Microsoft Office 2003 on my computer. I have just
purchased the full retail box version of Microsoft Office Professional
Edition 2003 and would like to install it. Should I delete the trial version
from my computer before installing the full purchased program? Also, will I
lose any of the Excel files created if I delete the trial version? I'm what
you call technically challenged, so I need some advice. I am using a Compaq
Presario R3000 laptop that is running Windows XP Home with sp2 installed.
Thank you for any and all the help you may provide!

I'd suggest backing up your files (even tho I am sure they'd be fine) and
then uninstall that trial version. Reboot and install the retail version.

It's what I would do.

Go ahead, it wont affect your files, and if it could, it would ask you if you
want to delete all files created by the program during the uninstallation
process
