deleting a slide in normal view

Can anyone tell me how to assign a keystroke that will delete a slide in the
normal view. I have a button but would like a keystroke instead.

You can't assign keys in PowerPoint. But you can click on the slide in the
preview pane on the left side of your screen and press the Del-key.
