When cleaning up the OL2007 mailbox, I use the search all - messages from
sender a lot. To my surprise however when deleting these mails (they get
deleted, thats not the issue) however the pane is not showing the deletion of
the files, instead these files are still beeing shown in this pane. (I never
bothered, but I think Microsoft should look into this, it looks like this is
not properly executed in this way)
I use Outlook 2007 (12.0.6316.5000) on Windows Vista 64bit (build 6001)

Hope the Microsoft OL team knows why this is happening?

That's because you're looking ay a Search context and it includes the
Deleted Items folder as well. So, you see the message in its original
folder, select it, and delete it. It moves to Deleted Items, which is also
included in the seach, so you'll still see the message. There should be an
"In Folder" column that will show you this.

Hi Brian ,okay I get the point now, this search pane will show all files even
those who are deleted. I've never bothered but it seemed akward, now I know
and have doubl cheked that these files showed up again but then in the
deleted items folder.
Thank you for your explanation. In the OL2003 version this pane was cleared
empty when deleting files. Zo it confused me a little bit.

Many thanks for tyour reply, all the best wishes to you and your fellow
americans in these economical times, we sureley could use some good news from
the states nowaday's. hang in there!!!
