I have what might be a very strange situation.
I purchased a license for Microsoft Office XP for home use. At work, we are using Microsoft Access 2000. I inherited a database that has been locked down and was originally created in Access 97. Since the databases rollout over 4 years ago, we have gone through two administrators. We don't have the administrators password and the database continually crashes and we have lost functionality for most of the reports (due to different administrators trying to fix code)
At this point, I have been given the responsibility of Administrator and the permission to develop a new database from scratch. There are not any laptops available with Access 2000 installed
Would it be possible for me to develop the database using the version of Access included in Office XP and run/maintain it using Access 2000, without running into problems between the two versions?
