DesignJet 30 printing issue

I have a new HP DesignJet 30 that will print from anything except Publisher
2003. The printer selector includes it but no "print preview" is available,
and the print command only causes the "loading window" to pop up briefly,
before going away and taking the systray icon with it. No print jobs appear
in the printer "open" window. I have an HP DeskJet 1220c on USB 001, an HP
LaserJet 3200 All-In-One running USB as a "DOT" port (whatever that is), and
the DesignJet is USB 002.

This is just a guess because I've never had three
printers connected to one machine but it may be
worth a try to temporarily disconnect the two that
are not currently in use.

Also...if you are using some type of "hub" it may
be worth a try to connect directly to your computer's
USB port.

I found the issue was easy to solve but still perplexing. I had a template
designed for my HP 1220c printer which would not translate or transfer to the
DesignJet. I had to make a new template specifically for the DJ30, but I've
never had to do that before for different printers. Thanks for your time!
