detect and repair deleted everything!

I used outlook detect and repair, which stated that it would put all my
defaults back and fix any corruption in the sytem files. It did not say that
IT WOULD DELETE ALL MY INFORMATION, EMAILS, CONTACTS, and CALENDAR
ENTRIES!!!! WTF?
Can it be recovered?

locating and reconnecting your data file:

Thnaks Hal.
But way too much work, (especially since it should'nt need to be done, the
help file said NOTHING about clean installing, just detect and REPAIRing!

Anyway, I simply restored to yesterday's restore point and all the data was
back in Outlook. My main gripe is that is should not have "disconnected"
those files in the first place. Detect and restore said nothing about
reinstalling Outlook in a pristine condition, sans all my entries, meetings
and auto reminders!
ps i worked at NBC in san fran -your name sounds familiar...?
