Diff. Between Project 98 & 2002

I currently have Project 98 SR-1. When entering or
editing tasks, I often get error messages re: "scheduling
conflicts", but I sometimes cannot determine where the
conflict is. Do newer versions of Project show where the
conflicts lies (similar to the way that Excel will show
the various cells that are included in a formula)?
Thanks!

No, there is no improved facility for determining where the schedule problem
lies.
One that that may help you no matter which version you are using is to
display the total slack column. tasks with negative slack are the problem
tasks.
Combine this with the ability to trace a chain of tasks and you can usually
find the problem. I have written a macro which traces predecessors and
successors to a selected task. You can download it free from my website.

Look for the trace macro.
