Difference beween Office2000 and Office XP Pro

I have a number of database apps with VB code (VBA6) written in Access2000.

Are there any issues/complications that I'm likely to encounter if I upgrade to a newer version of MS Office Professional?

The upgrade is likely to be running on WinXP Home or Win XP Pro

None, that I've found. If you are sharing the development of an app between
the 2 of them, make sure that you have all the service packs and patches
installed to avoid a bug which can corrupt the forms. Alternatively, make
sure you compile before and after making any changes.

A straight upgrade should leave no problems, although the default file
format is still Access 2000, and unless you plan on making an MDE, I'd just
leave that alone.

There may be instances where an MDE would be used. For example, I have some multi-user apps (with split database) where I would normaly deploy an MDE version of the front-end but the users may still be on Access2000.

You can only make and use MDE's in the current version. So if you have A2K
users you need to make it on an A2K computer. Similarly, A2K3 machines,
require MDE's made on A2K3 machines.
