Differenct between Access XP SP1 and SP2

I have a Access Db that all the macros and queries run fine until I upgraded
the Office SP (version 11) product to SP2. Now I get an error that says
'Operation must be an updatable Query' Nothing has changed in the query.

As I said it runs under Version 11 of Aceess sp1 or prior, how or where
should I look to fix this?

Or what did SP2 do to break this?

One possibility is if you are linking to Excel spreadsheets and trying to
modify data either from Excel to Access or the other way. There is a patent
dispute and MS had to turn off this feature. You can still import and export
to Excel and even do select statements with queries; however, you can not
change data in Excel directly from Access nor Access data from Excel.

Interesting.

In which version of MS Access was this done? I have A2000, SP3 which
still allows this.

I believe only Access 2002 and 2003 lost the ability to update linked Excel
files. The earlier versions managed to escape the change, probably because
they're officially out of support.
