I have some old(3yr) .avi files which I can insert into a slide and it
plays with out a frame or "start/stop" buttons and a progress
indicator, when I insert a "new" .avi file recorded from a wintv
card, or any .avi files in the Gallery I get a display from one of
the "player" types on my machine complete with a Frame, "Start/ Stop"
buttons and progress indicator. Is there a difference in the AVI
Formats,amd how can I achieve a simple video playing in the middle of
the slide with no frame or other stuff????

Generally if you insert your video clip using this method....

"insert menu > video > from file"

then you get no "player controls".
