different color

Why is it that on a Windows XP system using PowerPoint 2003 a color shows up
as the correct color while on a Windows 2000 system using PowerPoint 2003
that same color has changed to a different color?

How 'different' is the color, is it still a shade of blue or has red changed
to blue?

OK... sit down and tell me all about it.

Are you 100% that you are showing/viewing the presentation with powerpoint *
2003 * on both computers?

what has changed color. e.g. a picture, or text or an autoshape
if it's a picture where did it come from
do you know if it was a jpg or png or bmp or tif etc

is there an object that has been placed over another object and a
"transparency" applied?

I'm 100% sure that it's PowerPoint 2003 on both computers. It was a picture
that was imported to the slide as a pdf. Also, no transparency was applied.

It was a picture that was imported to the slide as a pdf.
That's a good clue. As a pdf is not a picture.

Try this....

using the free adobe pdf acrobat viewer display just the pdf file
do a "screen grab" (alt-print screen)
in powerpoint
edit > paste special > picture
crop and re-size to your needs
