Different styles in the same test box?

....use a return between the text you want to apply
different styles to within the same text box.

If it's two columns (assuming we're talking about snaking columns and not
tabbed columns), then the text in the two columns should be in different
paragraphs, and you should be able to apply different styles. Styles are a
paragraph property. Does Publisher have character styles? If so, you could
apply different font formatting using those.

I'm using two columns in one text box (continuous) and I need to change the
style usually within the line (source and commentary - one style for the
source and the other for the commentary).
I'm afraid I won't be able to use the functionality of styles as I could in
Word, rather change the fonts manually :-(

For this I would suggest using a table instead. You can put the source and
commentary side by side and apply different paragraph styles to different
cells.

But does using a table allow the automatic overflow of text from one column
to the next?
