Different text alignment, on same line, in header, with multiple sections.

I have multiple sections in the document, each with different margins and orientations. I would like to left align one word and right align one word on the same line in the header, so that as the margins change in different sections the words will always be aligned against the differing margins in the headers. If I use tab stops and do not link to previous headers then my text entries to not carry forward. Is this possible?

You've got the right idea: you have to set the tab stops as appropriate for
the margins, and you have to unlink the sections, but you also have to
either insert the text before unlinking the sections and changing the tab
stops or reinsert it after doing so.
