Direct Paragraph Formatting

Is there a simple way to delete all direct formatting from all paragraphs in
a Word document? Changing a heading style, for example, doesn't
automatically change paragraphs that have direct formatting.

Ctrl+Spacebar will remove direct font formatting; Ctrl+Q will remove direct
paragraph formatting. Ctrl+A before doing either will select the entire
document.

And if you just want to fix your headings:

This should remove all manual paragraph formatting:
Edit > Replace,
Find what: ((More > Format > Style: Heading 1))
Replace with: ((Heading 1))
"Replace All"

This should remove all manual font formatting:
Edit > Replace,
Find what: ((Heading 1))
Replace with: ((Default Paragraph Font))
"Replace All"

In Word2002/2003, you can also select and right-click a heading paragraph,
"Select similar formatting", and then use Suzanne's shortcuts Ctrl+Q for
ResetPara and Ctrl+Spacebar for ResetFont.

Regards,
Klaus
