Directory Integration Issues

Hi...

I've setup a new Groove Server 2007 and am trying to configure the Directory
Integration (with AD) and keep getting an error "The Operation encountered
and error". I can't find any documentation, even searching Microsoft's Groove
site for "Directory Integration" yeilds 0 results... Ugh.

Anyway, I'm logged into the Groove Manager site and went to the "Directory
Integration" tab and choose to "Add Directory Server".
I keep the type as "Active Directory Server"
Display Name is set to "Testing"
Server Name is set to "Server1"
Server port remains 389 (and I've verified I can connect using an LDAP
browser)
Root Naming Context - Leave blank
Unique Identifier left as default (objectGuid)

I do not check the boxes for requiring SSL or Chase directory referrals.

I enter my user account (I'll setup a service account once I get this working)
using domain\username context.

I do not change anything on the Field Mapping tab. The only boxes filled
in are Full name (cn) and E-Mail (mail)

When I hit Apply I just get "The operation encountered an error..." No
additional detail as to why...

I'm kinda pulling my hair out especially since I can't find any articles
on how to set this up. It really shouldn't be difficult, and I'm thinking
it probably isn't and that I'm just missing some small detail.

If anyone has any thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.

The problem is with your user setup - it is not entere domain\loginid but rather in DN format (CN=loginid,OU=...), Look here for assistance and help.
