Directory Merge - 2003

Hello,

I have created an address directory that has multiple entries. But in order
for me to merge those entries, I have to call each one and create a new
template for each entry, is there a way for me to use the same template for
the data.

Are the entries in different data bases? Are you using the catalog merge? If all
the entries are in the same data base then there is no reason why you cannot use
the catalog merge with success. The catalog merge is terrific for directories.

Well,

It would have been nice to have all of the data together but the ending
result did not turn out as I had hoped. So I resulted in creating a separate
file for all of the data, which allowed me the ability to give each data file
it's required Header.

Now the reason why I wanted to use the template design is because all of the
fields are the same Fname, Lname, Addr etc.... for all of athe data files.
Where as now what I have to do is create the same template over and over
again for each data file and add it to an existing publication.
