disable image toolbar in IE 6

J

Jeff

OK, I am now using the java script to prevent right click
to help prevent people for copying pictures from my site.
Now however I noticed on IE 6 their is a image toolbar
that gives the choice to print, save, email. Can this
feature be disabled from within my website ?

Thanks Again

Jeff

However, your right-click Javascript is not going to do much good. In fact,
for many people, it may completely turn them off of your site. I personally
use the Back option on the right-click menu instead of on the toolbar in
many cases.

I'm also a photographer (commercial), but don't worry much about the
download problem since the images posted on a website are such low
resolution. I don't feel there is much someone can do with a 5x7" image @
72ppi, certainly not publish or print it effectively. Your policy of
reducing the quality is good insurance, and I think the only other way of
discouraging theft is to remove the photos from your site altogether, which
of course isn't an option.

You could also put a watermark on the photos, but that can easily be
retouched out by any novice photo editor. In PhotoShop you can put a
copyright statement, etc. into each image's file info, which isn't a
deterrent for many and can be changed easily enough.

A digital watermark cannot be removed. Even if you severely crop the image,
the digital watermark will remain in its entirety.
