disable paragraph formatting

Hello,
Some how I have paragraph enabled... don't know how I did
it. I want to remove it. It is very distracting. Help.
How do I get it removed?

On the toolbars there is a button with the paragraph symbol on it.
Click it.

If for some reason it's not there, look on the "view" menu.
