disappearing Images

I am support a customer running PPT XP, when he scrolls from slide to slide,
images disappear on the previous slide. The images come back when selects
"Bring to Front". This also is happening in Word XP (vanishing images). Any
ideas?

First thing to try is to download new video drivers for the computer. Second
thing to try is to turn down hardware acceleration. Information on both of
