Disappearing Paragraphs in Outlook 2003

I'm accidentally hitting some button that deletes the paragraph I'm composing
in outgoing email message. The whole message isn't deleted--just the
paragraph I'm working on. The key that triggers it may be the shift key or
near it, but in some combination, the paragraph being composed disappears.
I've never run into this with other mailers. What is it and how can I
retrieve the disappeared? I'm using Outlook 2003 on XP.

Sounds like you have something on your keyboard set to do this. Does this
happen when you are composing a document in Word as well?

Your suggestion may be correct but I can't figure what it might be. It's not
the delete key I'm hitting--which would only delete the highlighted anyway.
I haven't set any options for the keyboard or XP that I know of, but will
check this out so far as I'm able. Don't use Word, but it doesn't happen
with Open Office. Thanks.

Anyone else know what would correspond to selecting and deleting a paragraph
or sentence with one or one-two combination?
