Disappearing Text Box

We created a brochure in Publisher 2003, but when we open it in
Publisher 2007, all the text that was in a border box disappeared.
The rest of the text and images are still visible, and everything
still seems to be lined up.

We have lots of documents like this, and are getting ready to go to
Office 2007 enterprise wide. Is there a plug in or setting that will
help get the missing text back?

Have you tried printing it? I suspect the text box is there but not showing
up. Try updating your video drivers. Older drivers can cause some really
weird glitches in the way a document looks.

Thanks, Joanne. I printed it, and the text is still not there (but
that would have been an awesome fix, if that had worked). Chances are
the the text in the box was copied and pasted from Word 2003 - would
that affect?

When you say a "border" box, what do you mean? Is there a possibility that this
was a pre-designed template and somehow the text was filled white?

If the document was saved the Word text should be saved as well. Can you select
the text box? Can you bring it to the front?

It shouldn't be a problem but computers often defy logic.

Is there any chance it's sitting behind something else? Maybe a border
around the whole page with a white fill instead of no fill?

JoAnn and Mary,

Thanks for much for taking the time to help! For "border box", I mean
text that is supposed to appear within the confines of a border. When
I opened up Publisher 2007, I noticed in the 2007 preview (file
thumbnail?), the text was there! However, when I opened the file,
once again, the text within the border was not visible.

I rightclicked within the border region, chose the "font" option, but
made no changes. When I closed the font dialog box, viola, the text
was back. So, you were right, it was still there, just...shielded
from my view in some way.
