i'm using frontpage 2002 and used wizard to create a
discussion web. is there any way i can have the contents
page sort alphabetically by subject rather than date order?

You have the options that are available in the discussion Wizard. For
anything else, you need to look at third party solutions.

If you really are serious about building an online community, look into the
vast number of 3rd party apps available for online forums. Many are very
reasonably priced and offer far more advanced community features than the
one inside of FP. Furthermore, I've had corruptions with the one inside of
FP and difficulty handling discussions that become large.

Right now I'm using DCForums (www.dcscripts.com), but there are a ton of
options out there that work well.
