Display addtional text or a definition when hover over word or phr

I am creating a document and would like to allow the reader to hover over
certain words/phrases to get additional information/definition of the word.
Anyone know how to do this?

Select the text.
Choose menu item /Insert/Hyperlink (or Ctrl-K)
It'll work just like the clickable words in the internet, so you can pick a
location that you will jump to in case someone Control-clicks the text--a web
address or a location in the same document. If you don't care, choose "Top of
Document" and clicking will bring you to beginning of that same file.
Write up to 256 characters in the ScreenTip (or paste it from memory). When
you pause on the text, the screen tip appears as a floating comment.

Small addendum--if you enter a "#" as the link location, I believe that
will activate it as a link that goes nowhere. A little safer than Top of
Document.

True, but you could enter any text that doesn't represent a bookmark or web
address and get the same error that the link doesn't take you anywhere. So,
you could type a random number, or any letter, or your cat's name... as long
as it's not a bookmark in the document, an error message will appear if
someone tries to Ctrl-Click it.

Still, I like your idea a lot since it keeps those experimenters from
leaving the spot where they were reading.
