Display e-mail address in to line of Outlook

In Outlook, all of the email addresses are shown with name only, not with
email address which I know can be obtained by right clicking on the message.
However, is there a way to change the default settings in Outlook so that the
email addresses are displayed in addition to / instead of the name.

Shown where?
Are you referring to the Email Display As field? You cannot change the
default setting for the Email Display As field. You can easily change it
manually within the Contact Record if you think it matters.
That field has no consequence. There is no reason you would need to change
it.
