Display Project in Multiple Windows

By default, every project opened is shown one instance of project.

I would like to have multiple instances of project opened at once like MS
Word behaves.

Is there a setting in Project 2003 that allows this?

That is not possible with Project.
However, I did read about a work around someplace with a similar situation
-- it was not Project but it was the same situation. Project is a single
instance with multiple child windows.

What was suggested was to create a new use account/password combination.
Then, using "switch user" they were able to toggle back and forth between the
two instances of the program. Not really a good solution... and it
definately required the second user to have a unique password. Sounds
cumbersome to me.

Here's another potential solution, but it is somewhat costly. If your issue
is really "I just want more screen real estate to see what is going on..."
Well, you can view multiple project files simultaneously in one instance of
Project. Window/Arrange All... you can drag the file windows so they meet
your needs. Now the costly part ..... buy a 30" wide screen monitor with the
maximum resolution possible. You will also need a better video card
(perhaps). Remember it is monitor resolution that increases your desktop
area, not the physical dimensions of the monitor.

Maybe some of our other colleagues will have some additional ideas.

I already have 2 monitors in place.

Was hoping to have the projects side by side but in different views so I
could see effect of changes easier.

Thanks anyways. (You too Jan)

Hi Mark,

This is possible in one instance isn't it?
Open both, Windows, arrange all...

Jan - He could easily spread the one instance of Project into both monitors
if he sets Windows to expand the desktop to both monitors. Then with Project
in a "restore Down" (smaller size) window -- drag it to cover both monitors.
Window/Arrange All... Drag the file instances as needed.
