Distribution List: Name not showing up

M

Hi,

I have a number of contacts in my Contacts Folder, and
want to create a special distribution list. When I create
a new distribution list however, only some of my contacts
show up, and I cannot select the ones I need.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks

Marian

You must provide at least some clue. We can't read minds.
Which Contacts don't show up?
What version of Outlook?
How are you creating the DL?
What information store are you using?
How many Contact Folders in your Profile?

Sorry about the lack of clues, but this is my first time
using this website.
I'm using Outlook 2002. Under "Contacts" I started
creating new entries with people's addresses etc. To
create a DL, I went to File, New, Distribution List.
Under Member tab I gave it a name, then selected from the
Contacts. However, only a few people showed up from among
the many I had input. However, my boss had exported her
contacts to mine, and all of hers show up. I've done this
very thing at my old job using an older version of Outlook
(97), but for some reason it's not working now.
Thank you.

That would suggest that the Outlook Address Book (from which you would be
selecting members to add to a DL) is not displaying the same Contacts Folder
as the one to which you've been making entries.

Use View > Folder List to display all the Folders in your profile. I suspect
you'll find more than one Contacts Folder there.
