Distribution Lists

When setting up a contact, what is the best way of adding that person to
several distribution lists? We are currently using a Database software
program that easily manages Groups (distribution lists). I would like to have
the same ease of use with Outlook. We have Outlook 2000 and are exploring
Outlook 2003.
