do you need outlook 2007 to reply through the vote buttons?

i am looking to poll a question through email but most of the peolpe to be
polled do not use outlook 2007? Will they be able to participate? if yes how?

you need outlook, it should work with any version. AFAIK it will not work
with other mail clients.

That is a feature of the Exchange server with support in the Outlook
e-mail client. So are all of your recipients using the *same* Exchange
mail server? If so, why aren't they using Outlook?

In Outlook, hit the F1 key. In its help, search on "vote". Look at the
topic titled "Add voting buttons". Notice it says "This feature
requires Microsoft Exchange".

Do you have both Outlook 2007 and Access 2007? If so, Access has a feature
for creating email-based surveys that work with any HTML-capable mail client,
including browser-based clients.

If not, then you might consider building a web page to conduct your poll or
using one of the various online survey services.
