MS Document Image Writer was only working correctly when the user had
administrator rights. When printing a document, the location for the file to
be saved was asked, then the document was displayed after "printing."

It never seemed to work with any user that did not have admin rights.

One suggestion was to delete the printer then add it back in. Now it no
longer prints for anyone.

Suggestions?

Hi Dad,

If the user login name is the same as the computer name this is one of the issues you can run into.

Bob,

All the user names are different from the PC name. I tried deleting the
printer from everyone's profile, rebooting, evelating everyone to an admin,
reinstalling the printer (as a genric text printer using existing WDI driver)
in everyone's profile, and rebooting again. :-( It didn't work. Now when
you try and print something it just sits forever in the queue.

Other printers work fine, but the laptop is not always connected to a
printer and using Document Image Writer as a "printer" is great.

Should I completely uninstall Office and reload? I would have hoped there
was some setting, permission, or something that could be changed without
having to spend three - four hours reloading and recustomizing office.
