Document uploading problem

I already asked this about 2 weeks ago, but I received no answer - so I'm
asking again. Please help.


When I try to upload a document to the documents area in project web access,
I get a dialog box with the following error message:

An unknown error occurred in updating the Project Server database because
Sharepoint objects cannot be saved. Log on to Project Web Access again, and
link the document to a task.

I've tried doing this and get the same error.

However, once I click ok, it refreshes the documents page, and I can view
the document that I just uploaded with no problems. I'm not sure what is
going on.

If it helps, I also get that kind of error when trying to create an issue on
a project.

Any help is appreciated.

Can you try going to the subweb directly and uploading a document and
creating an issue?

To get to one of the project subwebs, log into PWA as an Administrator. Go
to the Admin tab --> Manage SharePoint Team Services --> Manage Subwebs and
click on one of the subweb links for a given project.

If you don't have any problems doing those things in the subwebs directly
then there is a setup/communications issue between Project Server and STS.
If you do have a problem when doing the same thing in the subwebs directly
then there is an issue with your STS setup. Let us know the results so we
can try to help more.

Ok, I tried your instructions, and I was able to upload a document with no
problem. According to you, that means I have some kind of issue between
Project Server and STS.

Tell me more. (Thanks for the help)
